Love – Incomplete without giving

Giving is an act of love and without it love is not complete. It’s a way you show how much you care and how much you love. Expressing love by words is good and sometimes needed but expressing it by action is better and always needed. If you say you love and you can’t give, you have not love. it’s that simple.

Many people give excuses that I personally see as unfit. They say, “I can’t give now, I need to get more and gather more, then I can give”. Listen friend, you don’t need to have the whole world before you give. If you can’t give when you have little, it will be hard to do when you have much. A small act of kindness can go a long way to impact someone’s life positively forever.

… Learn to light a candle in the darkest moments of someone’s life. Be the light that helps others see; it is what gives life its deepest significance – Roy T. Bennett

You think you don’t have much and you complain right….? OK….. Take a good look around you and observe those people who don’t have a quarter of what you possess. These people are all around us and we know what they need and what we can give them. Giving is not always about money or material things, sometimes it is about what we can’t see or touch but feel, such as, giving listening ears, uninterrupted attention, empathy and sympathy.

… It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving – Mother Teresa

One of the reasons the world is falling apart is because giving is fading gradually. We now live in a world that is highly self-focus. People now try to get more for themselves everyday and after getting more they want more again. I’m not saying its bad but when all a man think is only about himself, then something is wrong. There is a saying where I came from, it says… You eat alone, you die alone. Life is meant to be shared and shared in love.

… Happiness doesn’t result from what we get, but from what we give – Ben Carson

If you’re giving the capacity to get wealth, bless others with it. Remember that you are just privilege. What good thing you think you own is a gift, bless others with it. Givers never lack. When you give, you will receive. It’s a natural law. We rise by lifting others.

Now let’s close this section by bringing it into our Relationship…

… The most truly generous persons are those who give silently without hope of praise or reward – Carol Ryrie Brink

If giving is lacking in your relationship, there’s going to be problem. Remember that giving is not totally about material things alone. it is also about showing love, care, attention, empathy and sympathy. You might be thinking, oh…. I have little, yes… Little is appreciated when done out of love. Little things counts.

…Its feels great to start the new month with you. I’m glad.

  1. “It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving”…this statement goes a long way for I’ll rather you not give me anything than know your reason for giving me something or helping me is flawed or opportunistic. We really need to learn to give selflessly…that is the only way we can teach love. By loving selflessly.
Thank you very much for this post. Great way to start the month. God bless you.

  2. Very practical message on love, for Love is an active verb!
    ‘God is Love’
The Holy Bible says ‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…’
    Love comes with action!

Thank you for this message at the beginning of this month.

  3. You’re very correct. You can give without love, but you can love without giving. Giving is an essential practice that confirms that we love. Thanks, fo sharing.
