The Struggle of Love

The struggle of Love. Love is all good and beautiful but now it is also use for the means of other agenda. People now show love mostly to get one thing or the other. I look around and begin to think… Where is true Love? Why is there so much deceit in love? Why is there no honesty in the matters of love? Why do people use love to take advantage of others? Why has people turn love to self affairs where they think only about themselves?

People now love mostly when there is a benefit to derive. If I can’t get something from you then why should you be in my life, that’s now the other of the day in today’s world. People are suffering and dying because Love is struggling to survive. Love is no more thriving but striving. This issue is now a global one and can only be address in units, as in individually.

… Where there is true love, there is life.

When spouse to spouse are not true to themselves anymore majorly because of personal interest and gain. Marriages are now going through all kinds of stress because husband or wife or both are now getting attracted to personal gain. Families are having crisis because members of the family love only from the face and not the heart. Love is now a mere word to most people, the action behind it is forgotten.

From leaders to politicians to business owners, even religious leaders, Love is struggling. Most of these people just want to be in power not that the love they profess is true. People now say one thing but meant another thing. How can this world survive in this manner? How can relationships, marriages, families, businesses survive in this manner?

… To love is something, to be loved is something but to love and be loved is everything.

The problem of this world starts with individuals not government or certain establishment. How can someone who is not truthful to his/her spouse, children or family be truthful to anyone else in the world.

There’s only one way this terrible system can change, and its through you and I. To live in the right meaning of love. Love is truthful and plain. There is no hide and seek in love. It’s always open. Why should you lie or deceive the one you love, that is no love, it’s murder.

We can’t change everyone but we can change ourselves. Let love thrive through you, your relationship, marriage, family and business, in that way, love will flow and connect us all back to the origin where love never fails.

I don’t want to be one of the problems of this world, this is our home and I want to enjoy it. I believe it’s the same with you. So, I’m going to let Love thrive from me to my family and the world. We should all do that.

Thanks my dear friends. It’s time to end the struggles of Love.

  1. This is love as it now in our everyday society. No longer the way it was. Selfishness and greed has creeped in.
But just as u say @Rotimi Elijah… started with us and it’d end with us. If ever we will see a change, then we need to be that change.
Thanks for sharing such a rare but wonderful truth😊

    1. That’s so true Markus. So correct. We all need to find the true love and return to its original meaning. Thanks so much my friend.

I’m sorry for responding late. My best regards

  2. It’s a grt and very emotional out reaching post Rotimi, but then again I wonder and strongly doubt if love’s struggles will ever come to end. Cause we never learn from history. Mistakes keep repeating itself and true love remains darken. Happy are the few who have found and have in return shown true love

    1. Hmm…. Hmm… You gave a big light to what seems to be in the dark. What a question, will it ever end? Hmm… Truth be told, we humans have failed many times to learn from what is hurting us. This thing seems to get worse by the day.

The only way it can get better is when individual gives true and undiluted love from himself/herself to others. Thanks so much for such a deep comments. I’m so sorry my response came late.

      My best regards to friend.

  3. β€œHow can someone who is not truthful to his/her spouse, children or family be truthful to anyone else in the world.” This is so true! Matthew 24:11,12 says, β€œbecause of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will grow cold.” We’re truly living in the last days. We’re surrounded by so much selfishness that love is crowded out. I have hope that we will come to see more people showing true love in God’s Kingdom.

  4. True love is accepting others with all their differences and sinful natures. It is all in our perspective. If we view a world without love it is because we’ve been hurt by love. But the principle thing is making the world by what we do. We love and give it freely. That’s not to say we don’t keep a distance from those who want to hurt us. View the world as a loving place with lots of loving people and you will find they are there, everywhere around you. But also greet everyone with a smile, ask their name and call them by name. Love is received only after we’ve given plenty of it away ourselves. John F. Kennedy once said, “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.” It’s the same with love. Ask not who will love me. Ask who will I love. I hope the answer is Everyone.

  5. The way I find out if my love is true is if I actually feel it in my heart, the warmth and for me, often happy tears. Otherwise it’s just, as you said, a word. You described very well what I’m seeing too in the realm of love. I am almost hesitant sometimes to even use the word. It’s become almost like a slogan or ad campaign than something sacred.

  6. Love begins in the home. Teaching our children to love, love one another, respect, appreciate, be grateful and show kindness are just a few, but it all leads to other things – to greatness. We need more greatness in this world – these times, that seem to be condemned already. We need to raise great people to then see great results! πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ½

  9. Honesty and open communication is key in a marriage. I believe the reason my marriage is so strong is because we constantly check in with one another and discuss things that bother us or what makes us happy. I agree with you that it has become “all about me”. People need to step outside themselves and learn that the only way to get what you want is to give first.

  10. Love is a gift. It has no need of conveluted language. It is of the intellect and of the emotions. I offer myself to you. In reality I give my most valuable resource, my time. Love is essential to life. As a parent, unconditional love is heaped upon your child. Nothing is held back. Everything is given. Some hold that God is love. Nothing of thee material world is worthy of love. It is personal in the truest sense. Receiving love is also important and healthy. Give yourself and you will be giving live. Nothing else is of consequence. There is nothing so simple yet so difficult. We must keep at it Humankind has no other purpose. Chris T.

  11. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is being neutralized through the manipulation of technology and conditioning. Human beings are being turned into symbols and icons and humanity are being conditioned to live in their mind. The mind cannot understand love in truth because it uses logic. Only our hearts can ever understand love because we have to feel it not think it. Kx

    2. Very true! But besides the internet and our mobiles, it’s work, jobs. People now go to work and still bring work home. There’s no time for family, nor do they want to make time because now they’re too exhausted to even think. There’s no dinner time, the dining table is no longer used besides it being seen from afar as a decorative piece in the home. Families aren’t talking, each comes home and eats at their own time as they come, sitting around the counter. Families need to restore their own families. It all starts in the home. πŸ˜ŒπŸ™πŸ½

      1. Oh, my heart is blessed tonight hearing all this wonderful words. This is it. You guys are saying it the way it is. If there’s going to be a significant change, it must start with each individual in the home. And from there it will flow. B

Awesome words from you my friend. Should I say have a beautiful night? Because it’s 9pm here. Much love my friend
